  5. What's new in version 1.21:
  6.    -Fixed a few minor bugs
  7.    -Slightly updated interface
  8.    -Reduced size of executable file

  10. 1. Installation, Upgrading, and Uninstallation
  11.  
  12. Use Winzip to extract the executable file,
  13. FreeRAM XP Pro 1.21.exe, to any directory of your choosing. We
  14. recommend the Desktop, since you'll have easy access to the file
  15. in the future. Do not double-click on the file in Winzip to
  16. extract, as that will cause Winzip to unzip to a temporary
  17. directory, the file will be deleted after closing, and you will
  18. not be able to find it later on.

  20. After successfully unzipping to a directory of your
  21. choosing, just run the executable file (FreeRAM XP Pro 1.21.exe).
  22. Whenever you use FreeRAM XP Pro in the future, it will run from
  23. the executable file, so be sure to keep it in an
  24. easily-accessible location.

  26. To upgrade from a previous version, simply replace the old
  27. executable file with the new executable file, FreeRAM XP Pro
  28. 1.21.exe. Then run the new executable file. NOTE: You do NOT
  29. need to run the Uninstall option of the previous version prior
  30. to installing the new version. Doing so may cause your settings
  31. to revert to their defaults.

  33. If you wish to uninstall FreeRAM XP Pro 1.21, select the
  34. Uninstall option from the Information menu of the main program
  35. window. Afterwards, follow the dialog boxes and then delete the
  36. executable file. There are no other files, folders, registry
  37. entries, etc. to remove.

  39. 2. Usage
  40.  
  41. There are two main ways to optimize RAM: by pressing Go, or by
  42. configuring FreeRAM XP Pro to operate automatically. You may, of
  43. course, use the two methods together. For more info, see the
  44. Usage Notes under the Information menu and visit the Settings
  45. program window.

  47. In addition, FreeRAM XP Pro can operate in two modes when freeing
  48. RAM: via AutoFree, in which FreeRAM XP Pro automatically balances
  49. speed and memory when optimizing, or you can manually specify
  50. exactly how much RAM you want to free up.

  52. FreeRAM XP Pro also features many more options, functions, and
  53. customizability. For more information, read the Usage Notes
  54. under the Information menu and explore the program Settings
  55. window.

  58.  
  59. We permit and encourage the free distribution and listing of
  60. FreeRAM XP Pro 1.21 as long as the distributed package remains
  61. complete and unchanged as that officially distributed from
  62. YourWare Solutions (as available from our website); the software
  63. itself is available free and without cost to the end user; the
  64. user is given notice of our company website,
  65. http://www.yourwaresolutions.com; and the user understands that
  66. FreeRAM XP Pro 1.21 is freeware.
